THE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE COALITION JOINS THE BATTLE TO OVERTURN THE RACIST VOTING LAWS BY GATHERING PETITIONS AS A GROUP AND CONDUCTING TRAININGS

6.1 million Americans are ineligible to vote due to oppressive, outdated disenfranchising laws. 1.5 million of those ineligible reside right here in the state of Florida.

The Restorative Justice Coalition believes everyone deserves an opportunity to participate in their civic engagement, especially if they've served their time.

As such, we have joined the coalition of activists that are fighting to put the amendment on the ballot, as created by Floridians for a Fair Democracy.

UPDATE: In 2018, Desmond Meade's Floridians for a Fair Democracy were successful in passing this ballot amendment. RJC was just one of many grassroots organizations that helped pass out petitions and drive voters to the polls.
